'It Could Be Verse' is a 2006 studio recording with incredible bassist Jeff Campbell. We play new interpretations of old chestnuts, including the rarely heard verses. Bill Thompson was the engineer, giving us great recorded sound. Songs include It’s Only a Paper Moon, Lover Man, Let’s Fall In Love, Always, That Old Feeling, Makin’ Whoopee, Getting Sentimental Over You, and several more.
'Facets of Jazz' was recorded with the same group live at the Strong Museum in 1999. Tunes include I’m Old Fashioned, Avalon, Sweet and Lovely, Peacocks, There’ll Be Some Changes Made, Stealin’ Apples, Old Folks, and others. Great trad clarinetist Peter Ferran joins us for several tunes.
'Live at the Rochester Institute of Technology' is what started it all in 1996, with Brad Paxton on drums and the late great Barney Mallon on bass. Tunes include If I Were a Bell, Honeysuckle Rose, It Might As Well Be Spring, This Is All I Ask, After You’ve Gone, In a Mellow Tone, and many more.
